Why did I do it?

March 27th, 2007 at 01:21 am

I went to realtor.com and found a house in our old subdivision that was the exact model we owned. I looked at all the interior pictures, and it all brought back so many memories. I felt very homesick for my house that we had to sell. Well, I guess that was a really dumb thing for me to do!

Some friends are selling their home here and moving to the Portland, OR area. We've already checked out a couple of areas in Oregon and might go up this summer to check out the Portland area as well. We keep talking about moving to a more affordable state, but it is a hard decision when we've lived here all our lives and all my family is here.

I do those kind of dumb things, too. Like looking at pictures or old letters that make me sad.

i can definately understand the struggle between wanting to move to a lower cost state and wanting to be where you grew and where you family is... it's really a tough decision...

I live in California and will leave the minute I can! My three adult daughters have all left already and bought homes, one in Klamath Falls, Oregon, one in Reno, Nevada and my youngest and her husband just bought their first home in North Carolina this week.

If my girls lived here I couldn't leave, but it is easier knowing they are not coming back.

Homebody, I am familiar with Klamath Falls because I used to have relatives there that I used to visit. We went there for a few days last summer, after not having seen it in a lot of years. We really like that area a lot.
